Mark your calendar for the 2010 FEI Alltech World Equestrian Games at will be held in America for the first time ever! Our own Mike McLennon is gearing up for the event. The venue will be the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. The dates are Sept. 25 - Oct. 10, 2010. Should be a "once in a lifetime" event for many of us! Mar. 19-21st - Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo' Mule and Donkey show.  This show will be co-sponsored by SDMS and GCDMA.   The show will be using the Texas Rulebook.  More information to follow.

March 20th - SECOND ANNUAL "RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG" SCAVENGER HUNT
Please join Bonnie and Lee McMurtry for the Second Annual Run What You Brung Scavenger Hunt in Round Top, Texas, 3006 Hartfield Road, on Saturday January 16th, 2010.
• Folks welcome any time after 11:00am
• Pot Luck Lunch - 11:30-1:00 (Beef Tender and Bonnie's cheese grits provided - please bring a side or dessert to share)
• Scavenger Hunt Briefing 12:30pm
• Scavenger Hunt -1:45pm (Staggered starts - show up at the starting gate and you go - no starts after 2:30pm)
•  Awards and Ribbons at 4pm
• Those without trailers can park at 3006 Hartfield Road. Those with trailers will need to enter and park on the oil field road marked "Trailer Parking". There will be a hose at the trailer parking for water (bring a bucket) and washing. Folks will need to work out of trailers. The scavenger hunt will require a groom (except for minis but if you can get one that works better). If you want to participate in the scavenger hunt and do not have a groom, let Bonnie know. If you are coming without a horse and would like to groom, let Bonnie know. She will pairs folks up and also has friends willing to groom. Bonnie also needs about 5 volunteers so if you want to come help let her know. 
Prizes will be awarded for the scavenger hunt (see below and note there is a category for riders this year). The time allowed for the hunt will be one hour. Bring a stop watch.
Releases required of all drivers, grooms, and riders. Helmets strongly recommended.

Scavenger Hunt Ribbons (Awarded 4:00 pm at the Big House)
1.      Champion Ribbon
2.      Reserve Champion Ribbon
3.      1st thru 3rd ribbons for single horse, pair horse, single pony, pair pony, minis and riders.
4.      Special Ribbons for Best Trivial Pursuit, Most Beer Cans, and other special gator ribbons to be announced!
5.      You can keep all the treasure you found after your score is totaled.

April 10th - NTW 15th Annual Sunrise Ridge HDT to be held at Sunrise Ridge Ranch in Paradise, TX.  Training and Preliminary, VSE's, ponies, horses, singles, pairs.  Tracey Morgan is the judge, Keith Yutzy is the TD.  ADS sanctioned.  Contact Kate Morgan (817) 523-4616 or email:  katemorgan@gmail.com.
