February 28, 2009, Agarita Ranch

It wasn't an official HACA event, but was attended well by HACA members and organized by HACA folks, so wanted to say thanks to:

• Sandy Smith for organizing the event, entirely on her own, as one after another person had other obligations and left her the only one standing.......
• Lew Smith for setting up the dressage arena and cones course. And both the Smith's managed to drive as well, and they had an extra gator on hand in case he was needed.............
• Lisa Cox for starting this whole event.......and keeping in touch with progress during the day.
• Keith Yutzy for supplying the cones course diagram on his far reaching travels.
• Bill Peacock and Rachel Steen for judging dressage and Linda Yutzy and Karen Garrett scribing.
• Paula Long, helping all over the place and keeping up with the paper work.
All the entries for showing up and going through with the drive, in spite of the cold wind and sand........it was fun watching you guys and getting a chance to visit and catch up.  There were folks from Dallas area, Austin and all points east, to Houston.  The proceeds from the drive go to funding the Plum Creek CDE next month.
 
We even had some looky loos that were interesting in driving,  Seemed like a really nice couple, from San Marcos......wish I had thought to get their email.
 
The Yutzy's and Peacocks stayed over to get in some work for their upcoming travels and competitions.  Linda & Keith are going to Live Oak, good luck!  Not sure where Bill if off to, but good luck as well.

Anyway, just wanted to thank all,,,,,,,,,,but most of all thanks to Chuck and his family for building such a great place and letting us play.  And hope you are doing well Nancy.............  {she just had a shoulder repair}.
